so, um

I re-figured out that I can see the IPs for the comments posted on my blog, and I found a couple that I couldn’t account for. Oddly, there are more than I would have thought, probably because I figured they were someone I knew. Like Ellen being random from a comp at Campo, or …I dunno. If you are reading this will you tell me if any of these are you? Thanks! (Weird O) – No idea who this is (Space pop, dali lama, medic) – No idea ([no author], me…) – Also no idea (spankytastic) – I’m thinking maybe this is Esther? (moonliteburn) – I’m pretty sure this is not someone I know (some person, That Guy) – Matt? I do have another IP for him… (I’m sorry, :) happiness now…, n000000, wheeeee!, what?) – I feel like there’s some slim possibility this is Paul, but I really don’t know

I wish I knew of any useful things to do with people’s IP addresses…any suggestions :-)?

as far as i know none of these are mine — certainly the IP for campo (at least one of ’em) is . and I’ve only got one IP for matt ( and none of them is it), but I too was under the impression That Guy was him…. [no author] or ‘me’ sounds like names i use when not paying attention but i don’t have a record of that ip…

oh, and you can use people’s ip addresses to personalize webpages and prevent them (or really, people on that computer) from going there, or you can theoretically hack their computer, or you can send them a message, or at least you can theoretically send then a message, i tried a while ago but couldn’t get it to work.

…i could go look at my upsaid comments some more but i’m not gonna. yaay.

after further evaluation, i’d like to say that one of them were possibly me so that i could be cool and mysterious and exciting, but i’m pretty sure i sign everything i write…

The glories of the internet…just discovered reverse IP lookup, although all I’ve found so far is doman names. But I think that rules out the first two as members of my family. The rest are still up in the air, though I know that the third, fifth, and sixth are Bay Area (no surprise) with comcast or att. Yay.
