my non-existent poetic skills

lying in bed

body shaking gently

with only a teddy bear

to wipe away your tears.

the crying fills your

eyes, nose, throat.

silent suppression

so no one will hear.

as long as you keep thinking

why did i say those things?

act that way?

the shaking continues.

to escape

you must not think.

blank mind

breathing in

breathing out

so this is what it feels like

to cry yourself to sleep.

no, I like to write poetry about random things that have nothing to do with what’s actually happening my life, because that way they’re more honest. yeah, and because i write so much poetry…
